We have now installed a lottery script which will allow you to put some of your participation points to use. You can buy tickets and possibly win many more participation points if you win the drawing. The more tickets you buy with your participation points, the more chances that you will win the drawing. Its basically life a raffle.

At this time we will run daily lotteries that last exactly 24 hours. You can buy multiple tickets by going here:

I went ahead and spent my 10 points.

Just curious....I've been looking at phpBBhacks.com and wondering where you got the participation hack (I haven't found it yet). I might be interested in doing that and the lotto thing at the sports board.

Just wanted to remind you that as long as you still have points you can by as many tickets as you want. The more tickets you have the greater chance you might win, but of course if you lose -- you lose all your points that you bought the tickets with.

I just modifed the first post here to say you can buy multiple, I wasn't sure if people would realize that.

This lotto script wouldn't directly. You would either need to find a lotto script that works with PHP-Nuke, or find someone willing to help you to program the one you have to work with it. PHP-Nuke is pretty popular, so there are probably some scripts out there that can already do it. I am not sure though.

Well I stand corrected. I didn't realize PHPBB works directly with it already. I haven't ever used PHP-Nuke, I just know its popular.

I noticed the lottery always starts with 100 points...so, let's say someone buys one ticket, pushes it up to a 110 and nobody else buys a ticket.

Will that one person have a 100% chance of winning all 110 points? Or slightly less than a 10% chance??? If its the latter case, who do the points go to in the end!?

Hmm...sounds like the house will usually win to me!

It will only go out to who buys the tickets. So, if you are the only person who buys a ticket you will win.

Hahah you're only a good smartass when you are correct:

[/quote]

His image is 300px high.

300/100=3.
