Moderators play a big role here at this Webmaster Forum. They help keep the forum in order and help provide an environment that is encouraging and inviting for other fellow webmasters, developers, programmers, designers, and people who just want to learn.

Go to the link below to meet your fellow moderators. The page contains a snapshot of each current moderator and links to their profile for a little more information about them.

It only reports the title, when posted in a forum for which we have mod status.

First, don't post in chatspeak. That will get you nowhere fast. I can safely say all of the current mod staff hate chatspeak on the boards.
Second, be helpful to other members. That gets you noticed more than anything. The moderators discuss potential candidates openly in our private board, but the final decision is always Bigwebmaster's.
It also helps to demononstrate a good bit of knowledge in at least one or more subject category.

Oh, Chat Speak. That means posting things like " Wut u gotta do ?" Or something like that, If it does its not really a problem for me. I like to use slang because it takes less time to type and I don't have to spell everything correctly. But correct enough so people can read it,

Will Moderators have to have perfect grammar ?

Might want to review our posting rules again Skirge. Not only is proper grammer required for the mods, you'll note in the rules that chatspeak is not permitted here anyway.

We appreciate the help. Can't tell you the number of times I've had PM's from members pointing out spam and such. It does help. We have a great bunch of members who contribute towards making this such a great place.

The great thing about Ozzu is that it's not just the mods that try and keep everything running smoothly: there are a number of people who genuinely care about the "health" of the forum. It's refreshing to see - I know of a few boards where it's very much an "us vs. them" feel between the mods and the users.

hehe i think about sending these types of PMs to mods, but i get to thinking about it, and who would want somebody to spam you with PMs about spam or bad grammar or stuff like that. Just seems like it would be annoying too me.

How do you mean noticed?

If you see spam its only fair to let a moderator know about it so they can deal with it. I usually try and keep my PM's as unique and different every time.

I am certain that if you PM moderators and let them know of spam then you will be appreciated and noticed for this. At the end of the day, people visit this website to enjoy it as much as possible and anybody willing to help out with contributing to the removal of Spam i am sure is very much appreciated.

Don't be a good member just to become a mod. Mods are selected carefully when they need them. If BigWeb decides he has enough mods on staff, no matter how much you help it won't get you chosen right away. If he however decides it's time for a new mod and sees that you help often, and thinks your attitude and behaviour are that of what is expected of a mod, then when the time comes he may add you to the list of possibilities. Which still doesn't guarantee a spot.

So just be a good member to be a good member. It's fun that way. It builds a strong community.

On Ozzu everyone seems to respect eachother quite highly, which is great. It makes everyone come back because they can be almost certain that they're going to get help with thing, from friendly people, that that's what keeps Ozzu alive :D

I love it when users PM to let me know of spam in sections of the forums. It is so helpful. I love helpful people. I love Ozzu. You people are all so beautiful Image
Just be a good user because you like to contribute, then one day maybe the magic wand will be waved over your head.

Also please welcome grinch2171 to the moderator team!

I echo that Musik. Everyone on this website is great and it just bugs me when some people try to destroy it by posting spam. So, if it means bugging one of our Moderators then PMing is what has to be done.

People must hate getting PM's from me now
