I'm scratching the surface of this new disc myself, too. I kept getting the old server for longer than what I was expecting, so I went out on a limb and clicked, "mark all forums as read" and I got transferred to OZ...(I mean OZZU) *grins

Guess I had to clear cache in a sense.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm thinkin' I'm feeling the performance boost. Everything I've looked at this morning has felt very fast and peppy.

Although, it could just be my warped sense of reality, I suppose.

I'll know tonight when I get home and try it during high traffic times on that computer. That's when I mostly noticed the lag - but it does some more efficient already.

For me http://www.ozzu.com still shows old server. I think my ISP is taking their sweet time updating. But since I never goto ozzu.com (without the www) that is not in the cache. So ozzu.com takes me to the new server.

As far as you guys switching back and forth, that sounds normal.

As I said in the other post with regards to the server move, I have the TTL around 10 minutes I think. I switched it a few months ago exactly for when this moment came so that the ISPs who respect that TTL would switch faster. Obviously ISPs like mine are taking their time or something as it should have expired a long time ago.

Good job BigWeb... although, as I said in another thread, it appeared, then I had to reboot, and it disappeared so I added the IP to my hosts file, heh (it was resolving on one of my servers elsewhere in the world). So, it looks like I was having the same problem as you (Comcast here - but since when have they ever been on-the-ball?), hehe.

All is once again well with the world :)
