The new rates for premium memberships are all one time fees and never expire! The rates are also much cheaper!

We have just changed all of our membership plans to be more reasonable for members who wish to help support Ozzu while getting additional features for their account at the same time. You will no longer have to worry about recurring fees or your membership expiring. Once you pay to become a bronze, silver, or gold member you will always be one. We have also made it possible so that you can upgrade your plan to something higher later and only pay the difference in cost. So if you pay to become a bronze member today, you could still upgrade to a silver or gold member at a later time and your previous payment will be applied towards that membership.

If you would like to help support ozzu please upgrade your membership by clicking on the control pane link at the top of ozzu:

and then click on "Upgrade Membership" as shown in the screenshot:

I am very glad to see this change; I'll definitely be upgrading in the near future.

This is how I envisioned it ever since the premium membership idea was floating around. I think this pricing setup will turn out to be much more attractive to people.

Hi BWM, I'm already a Bronze member now, but I can't see any changes to my name's color? As I used the default to Bronze, It still doesn't make any changes, and I can't attach file yet?
Thanks.

I was wondering how people were changing their "profile title" to something different. Interesting.

No, you should be given the option to just use a credit card. Unless BWM blocked that when he set up the payment.

As Spoof said, on the Paypal payment page just choose to use a credit card. You do not have to ever create a Paypal account if you do not want one.

Got an idea which would make membership more appealing...

Remove rel="nofollow" From signiture and WWW links :) I'd probably sign up for gold with that addition :)

Okay but what if you don't want this feature? because I'm quite sure that some people with lots of posts don't want this ... it could cause quite a few headaches with google if someone suddenly gets 19000 backlinks in one day, even 4000 ... maybe an option to enable/disable it rather?

Unfortunately I think that would only hurt Ozzu, so that feature to remove rel="nofollow" will never be part of the membership. I think many members trying to buy PR would do it because it would be extremely cheap and only a one time fee. In effect it would cause penalties on ozzu and the quality of posts could decrease for those trying to get their links out. So for those who are wanting that feature which would probably sell numerous gold memberships, sorry, it will not happen. It would not be in the interest of improving the community here.

Becoming a member does put your profile link on the supporters page here:

ozzu_supporters.html

which makes it so that your profile becomes more noticeable. That in affect would probably make more traffic goto your website if you have it listed in your profile.
