We just had our iMac returned to us via courier. It was at store getting reformatted and new software updates installed. I plugged it in and pressed the power button and nothing. I read book and did the option ,crtl, p, r, button hold operation and still nothing. Of course the store is closed for weekend. Am i missing something to turn it on. Worked great before it went in.

I know this sounds stupid but make sure that the power cord is firmly inserted, sometimes with those type of cords it can be in but slightly loose.

Was the box that it arrived in intact?

Good luck! At the end of the day computers are extremely fragile mechanisms, so many different things to go wrong.

Hope is something simple!
