Ugh, I hate it when people try to compare windows with macs. They're two entirely different operating systems and function completely differently. OS X is made with only a few different hardware setups, whereas windows is made to accommodate hundreds or even thousands of different possible hardware configurations, so in a way OS X is better that way because it is more fine tuned and being based on unix it can't be beat. And Apple has always had the upperhand when it comes to the graphical interface, but windows is catching up. Apple hardware is less affordable (generally speaking) but the operating system itself is cheaper, so that is a stale mate. I'm uninformed on support because I've never needed it for apple, if I did I went to forums like this one. I've never even been to an apple store or talked to an mac genius for crying out loud, but usually windows support is outsourced and the simple act of verbal communication is frustrating.
