Question for MacBook Pro Unibody owners

Hello,

This question is for anyone who owns one of the new MacBook Pros with the new aluminum unibody design.

I just bought one a couple of days ago. It works great. The only thing odd I notice is some "clicking" noises coming from random areas around the body. It happens mostly when turning it on (warming up) or turning it off (cooling down). The noises don't come from any one particular area. It's hard to pinpoint but sometimes it seems they come from in back of the display, other times the area of the trackpad or battery

I assume these are just normal expansion/contraction noises. I've never noticed these types of noises on any other notebooks I own, but maybe since the MBP has an aluminum body there is more expansion/contraction that occurs.

If you have one of the new MacBook Pros does yours make these noises? Granted I have very sensitive hearing and you must be in a quiet environment to really notice it (I live in the boonies) but I just want to make sure this is normal. Thanks in advance.

It was the hinge. Exchanged it for a new one. Problem fixed.
