msn chat logs

hi ive set my msn to save my message history but sometimes it doesnt record, so there are some conversations missing in the chat log. is there something wrong with my msn?! help would be much appreciated. thanks !

I think it's still in beta so most probably lots of problems would be encountered.

That's right. i think you should use gmail until it's not still in beta

It is NOT in BETA unless they happens to be using the new Live 2009 beta, which they didn't mention. Any other releases are stable. And how in the world is using Gmail going to help solve this question?

My question is, do you happen to use multiple computers? MSN Live history is saved locally on the machine that is being used. So if you switch computers, any chat history that was done on one machine will not be on the other one. You can copy the history files from one computer to the other to have a complete history on both.

Message histories are saved as XML files in My Documents\My Received Files\{yourusername+long number}
Chat logs are saved in My Documents\My Chat Logs
