Thanks SB! I was hoping to use this as a chance to learn ActionScript 3.0 (just got Flash CS3), but I finally gave up and used 2.0.

Just looking at the rules for this comp, it looks like the only restriction is 728x90 right? So it isn't limited to a certain kilobyte size or anything? Although we should try and keep them as small as possible...
Like Mr Spork, I also write about my interest in alcoholic beverages.

I think Bigwebmaster said they needed to be under 50kb.

I thought for sure that 50kb would make Flash out of the question, but mine ended up at only 26kb somehow...

I'm finding that with Flash it's more about optimizing the images you bring in from Photoshop than anything you do in Flash to compress. I just used the default settings to export the .swf.

Sweetness Bogey! The only thing though is that the black text towards the top is a little hard to read.

What color do you suggest I'm asking because it looks ok to me but that may be because I created it...

I'm using the dark theme, and the black doesn't jump out with the dark grey background, right now it still looks the same. I wonder if you gave it kind of a fuzzy white drop shadow like the other text if it might rise into view.

I forgot about the dark theme... I'm ashamed
