Still needs a user/rankings list, but that won't take much longer.

For now here's a table showing the competitions and who won them - the rankings table will then show which comps people have won :)

Considering the built-in phpBB3 polls are used to determine the winners, someone could put together a mod that pulls & presents the poll data for topics in the Competitions forum in a special way.

All that anyone would need is a default phpBB3 installation & development could be done.

I'm not sure I follow what you're getting at by

How exactly were you thinking the topics could be presented?

Wouldn't this be easier to put into a sql table? Admin/SB just clicks [+] next to a winner's name, and voila! Dynamically sorted descending wins and alphabetical tied places.

Well going with what you brought up about SQL, technically everything needed is already stored.
Using the right SQL queries, this information could be presented exactly as you & SB have done without the need for manually marking the winners, or anything other than setting the voting threads up really.

That entire link I posted is drawing from a duplicated table that I set up - granted it would have been easier having privileges to Ozzu's database, but that wasn't likely to happen ;)
All you have to do to update this one is enter the winner of a new competition, and BAM live results!

http://www.phpbb.com/downloads/

Look at the TOPICS_TABLE, POLL_OPTIONS_TABLE, and POLL_VOTES_TABLE.

The winners can be determined automaticly using the POLL_VOTES_TABLE the same way they're determined in the thread the poll was started in. :D

Wouldn't I still need access to the database where the poll is being held?

Kind of a poke at a dead animal, I think he meant to create the mod, give the code to bigweb and he'll integrate it into this site or something.

Just a dumb question, why are the oscars not included on the winners table? What has happened to all the previous result pages as well?

Speaking of, we really need to get you guys some new siggy images. The current ones are kinda dated and pixelated.
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.
