I personally think people who vote for themselves are terribly arrogant.

I don't think so... People wouldn't have made the suggestions they did if they didn't think they were the best :)

Ok, so politicians are arrogant anyways, but they're allowed to vote for themselves in an election. :)

lol, no doubt. Ok, so politicians may be a bad example, but if somebody truly believes their entry is the best, they shouldn't be prevented from voting for it. If they're forced to vote for somebody else, that could be the difference between winning and losing.

in order to solve the voting problem, you should require everyone to vote for 3 people. That way everyone can vote for themselves, and they must include 2 other people. Then, you will get a higher tally of votes, and a wider variety of results.

Just a thought

Its not so much the date that I care about.

But its the solution to the problem that unfolded. And besides. . . . I got a response didn't I?

First, that'll involve recoding the entire script. Second that will saturate the votes, not spread them out. The result of this competition was because we had good slogans. Personally I think it is rather egotistical to vote for yourself, but I won't go against it and make it a "rule" that you can't, I respect people who make the correct moral decessions when voting, instead of being egotistical, if they want to vote for themselves, by all means they can go ahead and do it, because everyone believes their work is the best, except thoughs who know better. That's how it boils down, good suggestion, it's just contraproductive, and will only increase the possibility of something like this happening.
