*plum* *peach*! I can't find my damn camera! Thats why I haven't done the last few photo comps, and I looked for it all over last night and can't find the thing any where. I might have to borrow one from work.

It kinda works..... At least it blocked out my two words from the dirty 7 that I used. I'll go eat some soap to clean my mouth out.

Never mind. Just checked not logged in. Somewhere along the line I missed it (or more likely forgotten) that I can see through the filter.

Interesting that the comp ends before crimbo. No Christmas dinner photos then, it would have been fun comparing what you all had .

I am still cameraless (other than my iPhone camera which is pretty lame) so not able to submit something current. I can only think of one food related photo i took a few years ago that doesn't really seem worthy of finding then submitting to here.

I need to buy a new camera :(

I somewhat agree this comp is ending too early. I'm not opposed to extending it until the end of December so people can capture some seriously good holiday food. What say you flavah? want to give it until the end of the month for some holiday feast photos?

I see what you are saying Hurricane, but considering it is December and there is likely to be limited contribution in the weeks leading up to Crimbo maybe we extend until new year?

To be honest, i have selfish reasons for this. I actually just want to see if i somehow manage to get my hands on a new camera before the turn of the year therefore making it more likely i can actually take part in this.

I am happy either or.

Ditto, I can't find my camera anywhere. I found the case for it, and I found the SD card, but the camera itself has evaded me. I hope I didn't accidently leave it out in the woods somewhere because it is probably under a couple feet of snow if I did.

Haha! I accidentally found my camera last night! Somehow it got put in a basket underneath a bunch of stuff, then put on the top shelf of the closet in our spare bedroom that we keep all our "out of sight out of mind" junk in. And I wish I had it this morning, I was on my way to work (yes, working a weekend) and I got off the highway, crossed over the river bridge, and there is a little black bear way up high in a tree on the side of the road. It would have been nice to have a camera because that was cuuuuuute!

This is irritating. I so love to cook, this is the perfect time of year, and I've been so busy I haven't found the time to cook a respectable meal worthy of a picture. Extending this is great. I would like to hope that between now and Christmas I can cook something worthwhile.

Thats the same problem I'm having. I skipped lunch today so no picture there, breakfast was some left over bannock from yesterday morning and a fried egg, dinner last night was hamburger helper so that isn't worthy of an ozzu comp, yesterday lunch was cold left overs, breakfast was a breakfast burrito from the store across the street, and I can't remember what I ate before that.

I really wish I would have shot a deer because then I could make a roast in the dutch oven and have a nice rustic looking backdrop and submit that for my entry. Maybe a beef roast instead.....

Aha! I don't see any bacon in your pic. :P

Of course I'm kidding. Nice shot. I'm guessing that's not in TN.

*bows down* I have yet to master the bacon element - it's just too sacred to pass through my lens just yet. And you're right, not TN. Another honeymoon shot (I really need to get out and travel some more before I run out of comp. ammo :)) - this one's another from the Flying Fishbone in Aruba.

I would love to say that I was the chef in this shot, but alas, I was merely the photographer. My best friend was the chef. On the bottom are two briskets, on the top right two pork butts, and on the top left a corned beef hash roll stuffed with sausage and wrapped in a bacon weave. Yes, dM you heard me, a bacon weave!

After a little research, it appears that 126 gallons of "You're Welcome" are appropriate here. :)
