Photography Competition #14: Love

Hello everyone!

This months subject: Love

Rules: This is strictly a photography contest! No photochopping, but contrast, brightness, levels and other minor touch-ups (healing tool will be allowed for film and print scans). Please avoid any text on the photograph, except at most a copyright statement, remember distractions like text can take away from the composition. Digital and film photography are both allowed. Only one submission per user will be allowed.

You MUST have taken the image yourself.

Length: Competition closes Monday, July 4th 2005 at 7:00 PM GMT. Voting lasts five days after close of competition.

The winner needs to PM me the topic for the next competition (please try to think up topics while voting goes on, in case you win).

Hmmm...nice abastract subject. Should be interesting to see the interpretations on this one.

Not to be outdone by a couple dogs (he stole my idea I tell ya!)

I took that picture when a party wound down about a week or so ago, considering my intoxication level I was supprised it didn't come out looking the way I was seeing it. You have to love sport mode.
Kado (the big one) & Sasha get along well considering they're not related & Kado had been around since being a puppy before my buddy got Sasha.

ATNO, I have to ask, Is that a gopher or maybe a groundhog kitty is sharing with ?

So I was originally thinking about submitting a humorous take on the theme, but was quickly out done by the gigantic dog testicles (I mean, really, how do you top that?). Ditto for the ambiguous water stealing animal mugging a cat. Instead I decided to play it straight. Here's my take on Love. Sentimental, but not too sentimental I hope

My picture is a groundhog laying on the cat. The groundhogs and racoons around here have the luxury of having breakfast ad dinner with the cat family *lol Most of them we can walk right up to and lay the plate down right in front of them. They're basically part of the family.

What an amazing photo, one that i would definatly describe as "love". To be honest, its a scene i really wish i took part in when i was younger and it to a certain extent has managed to get to me in a way. Really good photo.
