Would have been an easier assignment in the summer time with all the local fairs and events happening. But it was definately a very cool challenge.

I tried rigging an elaborate device utilizing a few mirrors to take a picture through various viewfinders and LCDs which were in turn taking a picture of me, but I couldn't get close enough to make out what the picture was of after all the mirrors and traveled distance, so I settled with this:

Let's hope the composition makes up for the content :P

If you look closely, there's a picture of me dressed up like a cowboy in the upper right-hand corner... long story.

I love these entries. Too difficult to choose a favourite.

I love how the boy looks above the camera at you while you are taking the photo Jamieson. Is that your son?

The focus is also spot on in your shot Neksus. You can just about see what is on the other digital camera viewfinder (i'm guessing that's your son too).

Good entries. I wish i could enter this one. I should really make an effort.

Thanks :)
I have to agree, jameson's subjects' eye makes the photo.

Yep, that's my son. He's obsessed with taking pictures right now, so I figured it'd be an easy shot :D

Incidentally, this is one of the first shots from my new digital camera I just picked up last night so I could hit the comp deadline. It's a Canon PowerShot SD750.. I'm sure I've only hit the tip of the iceberg with its capabilities, but it's a huge improvement over my last camera anyway (the one my son is holding above)

The SD750 is a pretty nice little camera. The one in my picture is the older, less robust SD630. How are you liking the face detection?

I haven't read the instructions yet, so I don't know how to control it or use it or anything, but it is pretty cool how that green box somehow knows when it sees a face.

It's on by default in the menu, so to activate it I'm pretty sure you just pre-focus and hold the shutter button half down. You can even move the camera around and the green box will stay on the person!

Man... missed this one by a week. I have a shot that would have been perfect from my shoot on 4/6.

The comp may be over but it will still be good to see the shot if you're willing to upload it.

I haven't been on in a bit ... I've got plenty of these pictures, as I'm part of a group of photographers who meet up quite often ... in fact we have a meet this Sunday. This one, however was last Tuesday on a rather gloomy Bondi Beach in Sydney.
