Photography Competition #12: Power

Hello everyone!

This months subject: Power

Rules: This is strictly a photography contest! No photochopping, but contrast, brightness, levels and other minor touch-ups (healing tool will be allowed for film and print scans). Please avoid any text on the photograph, except at most a copyright statement, remember distractions like text can take away from the composition. Digital and film photography are both allowed. Only one submission per user will be allowed.

You MUST have taken the image yourself.

Max size dimension: 600x600
Max file size: 150kb
(Please ensure your entry meets the above before entering your image)

Length: Competition closes Monday, May 9th 2005 at 7:00 PM GMT. Voting lasts five days after close of competition.

The winner needs to PM me the topic for the next competition (please try to think up topics while voting goes on, in case you win).

going to give it a shot, is it allowed to do several entrences?

I got a photo of a horse pulling a thing (dont know the englesh word :p) or isn't that allowed?

It is horse powered and a great pic to enter

Dont mean to be a pain Tojan, but your image is too big in size. It should be no more than 600x600. Your pic is 640x561.

This is something best left to the mods i think SB.

Well, albeit, SB has correctly pointed out the problem. tojan -- should be a pretty easy correction. The entry itself is fine - just reduce the width to 600 pixels and that will take care of the height. If you can't let us know and one of us will help you.

This is a shot I almost died for. I just wanted a shot of him there like he was about to hit the ball... Well, I guess he didn't hear the "Don't really hit the ball" request as I was laying on the ground in front of him. He swung a lil quick & hard, scared the crap out of me, but I got the shot


Nikon D100, Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX @ 62mm.
1/1600th @ f/5.6, ISO200.

Axe: wow awesome shot, it looks like your in a ditch taking that shot from that angle!!

I overlooked it too, usually I don't check the sizes until I am posting them for voting, unless of course its an obviously huge one
