Erm, Does this explain myself? R_T.

Should this be in the English thread? :)

By "Archaic" I'm sure it means outdated. Such as the awe being an archaic (outdated) definition to dread.

Probably should be in the english thread... blame R_T for this

lol, sorry guys, and George, I still don't get it ... you used the word "dread", and not "archaic" ... am I missing something here??

I think there is nothing wrong with how George overaggerated by using "dreading", people do that all the time in the English language and it is known as hyperbole:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperbole

Quote:
Hyperbole = exaggeration and is a figure of speech in which statements are exaggerated. It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, and is not meant to be taken literally...

Some examples include:
these books weigh a ton. (weigh a great deal)
I could sleep for a year. (for a long time)

Thank you, Brian. I was going to post a surrender post as I wasn't really sure if it was the right one. I think I learned if from a comedy movie long long time ago and before you posted this I started to cloud myself with doubt that it was right and maybe that movie was 'comedy' and meant to make us laugh. Thanks for clarifying as other side of me I still feel right but lost words to stand my point.
