Photography Competition #44: Rust/Rusting

Howdy!

The next topic is : RUST/RUSTING. What do you think of when you see the word "RUST"? Anything and everything applies as long as it describes the word RUST/RUSTING. Be creative!.

Rules: This is strictly a photography contest! No photo chopping, but contrast, brightness, levels and other minor touch-ups (healing tool will be allowed for film and print scans). Please avoid any text on the photograph, except at most a copyright statement, remember distractions like text can take away from the composition. Digital and film photography are both allowed. Only one submission per user will be allowed.

You MUST have taken the image yourself.

Max size dimension: 640px (including border)
Max file size: 150kb
File name: Please name your entry the same as your user name (or as close to as possible if your user name has characters that are not allowed in file names)
(Please ensure your entry meets the above before entering your image)

Length: Competition closes Wednesday November 19, 2008

hmmm, going to have to do my idea up right to beat breeze. But I think I got the right idea. I have two ideas. Just need to decide which one and which makes the better photo.

i've seen your work Breeze, and I like it, but I think I got you on this one. Mine won't be a matter of going out and shooting but setting up the scene. Hopefully I can get the camera back this weekend.

Well, I have an image for you guys ... found on the top of a water pipe ... each new section and there was a new year. The first one I came across was 2006 and the last 1984



This is an old one - the ones I was going for yesterday didn't turn out, and I'm very busy soon, so I doubt I'll be taking many photos.

Yes typhon, please resize your image to the rules and upload it in place of your other.

Sorry bout that, thought i had that fixed. Also had it named incorrectly. But I think everything is as it should be now.

Aw, nice! All are really good entries so far. The standard of the competitions really has improved recently!
