Photography Competition #58: Shadows/Trees

Hello!

The next photography competition topic is : Shadows/Trees - Something different this time, you have a choice of two possible topic titles. Be creative!

Rules: This is strictly a photography contest! No photo chopping, but contrast, brightness, levels and other minor touch-ups (healing tool will be allowed for film and print scans). Please avoid any text on the photograph, except at most a copyright statement, remember distractions like text can take away from the composition. Digital and film photography are both allowed. Only one submission per user will be allowed.

You MUST have taken the image yourself.

Max size dimension: 640px (including border)
Max file size: 150kb
File name: Please name your entry the same as your user name (or as close to as possible if your user name has characters that are not allowed in file names)
(Please ensure your entry meets the above before entering your image)

Length: Competition closes Monday February 08, 2010

Shadows AND trees in one photo! Was taken a couple summers ago somewhere in Glacier National Park, I don't remember where. Thats probably my favorite place in the world.

Here is my entry, a photograph i took 2 years ago at about 4am in the morning.

Here's mine. Following suit. This one is 5 years old and was taken in the Great Smokey Mountains - one of my favorite places in the world.

From last summer outside of where I work.

My wife probably knows exactly where we were, but all I can remember is that we were driving along at sunset while we were touring the Northwest. I think it was in South Dakota.

It's an oldie but one that i like from a camping trip.

crap! i didn't realize it I'll see what else I've got sitting around.......

MAn dM, those Smokie Mountains do look pretty cool. If you look close enough in your picture, you can see a hillbilly bottling some white lightning fresh from his still.

I've actually got one very similar to dM's from Asheville NC of a sunset over the smokey's. Nearly looks the same minus the tree. I enlarged it to a 22 x 38 and it hangs on my living room wall in a pewter frame. It's been one of my fave pics for years. Nearly makes me homesick for the Carolinas.
