Not from Scotland (from Norway really), but have lived in and around Edinburgh for the past 7 years. In Bathgate at the moment, which is just west of Edinburgh! whereabouts you from?

As for whiskys, I've developed an expensive taste for them... Jura's not actually my favourite (that would be either a balvenie doublewood or a Caol Ila, depending on the mood), but comes high up on the list! Tend to buy my booze when I go across to Norway as you can still get duty free there as we're not in the EU (yet)!...

I live up in the North East just outside Aberdeen. I've lived in this area for most of my life, only exception was my year in Edinburgh from August '06 to July 07. It is a really nice city.
