The Powershot A80 is a good little value for money camera. Any new cannon with a bigger lens than the IXUS II is good (IXUS II is crap unlike the Powershot and Ixus 400, 410,420,500 etc...).

The expensive Powershot G5 is the minimem pro quality camera with a super lens but all the other model share the similar processors and code but less RAM needed for high speed shooting.

I own the IXUS 430 (or 410 for u yanks) but the cheaper 4Mega Pixel Powershot are the same quality for less... you can even change the lens in some Powershots.
