Photography Competition #35: Water

Howdy!

The next topic is : Water. There are no boundaries here! Use your imagination. Be creative!

Rules: This is strictly a photography contest! No photo chopping, but contrast, brightness, levels and other minor touch-ups (healing tool will be allowed for film and print scans). Please avoid any text on the photograph, except at most a copyright statement, remember distractions like text can take away from the composition. Digital and film photography are both allowed. Only one submission per user will be allowed.

You MUST have taken the image yourself.

Max size dimension: 640px (including border)
Max file size: 150kb
File name: Please name your entry the same as your user name (or as close to as possible if your user name has characters that are not allowed in file names)
(Please ensure your entry meets the above before entering your image)

Length: Competition closes Sunday October 28, 2007

Voting lasts five days after close of competition.

Good timing! I had just taken this a week or so ago. It's about three blocks from my house.

simona - for some reason your link won't work with the BBCode img tags so I added a link to it for your picture. Not certain you got the topic of the competition - water. Could you explain how your image depicts the theme of water?

Actually grinch I just realized while I was editing that post that that's not possible with imageshack hosted images. When they upload the file name is autogenerated. They've also apparently discovered a way to deter hotlinking.

oh, I forgot to mention. They told on their bulleting (the host) that the server will be down today.

You must live in a peaceful spot.

It's a bit deceiving. I had to walk half way across a bridge to get the shot. Behind my angle is actually a small old Pennsylvania city Beaver Falls. Actually it's the town Joe Nameth is from. I live to the right of the camera shot in a wooded area in a small "vale". There's a private college to the left of the shot. I can't wait to get the "Autumn" shot and have been trying for three weeks to get the right "fog" shot.

Good shot nonetheless.

I'll try and get a few in. I'm heading to the Sydney Opera house today, so with my camera i'll try and take some shots of the Harbour bridge and river as well. More of a tourist shot no doubt, but what the heck! that's what i am at the mo.
