Photography Competition #18: Yellow

Howdy!

This months subject: YELLOW

Rules: This is strictly a photography contest! No photochopping, but contrast, brightness, levels and other minor touch-ups (healing tool will be allowed for film and print scans). Please avoid any text on the photograph, except at most a copyright statement, remember distractions like text can take away from the composition. Digital and film photography are both allowed. Only one submission per user will be allowed.

You MUST have taken the image yourself.

Max size dimension: 640px (including border)
Max file size: 150kb
File name: Please name your entry the same as your username (or as close to as possible)
(Please ensure your entry meets the above before entering your image)

Length: Competition closes Thursday, January 12 2006 at 4:00 PM EST. Voting lasts five days after close of competition.

The winner needs to PM me the topic for the next competition (please try to think up topics while voting goes on, in case you win).

This friendly little fella decided he wanted to traverse my rucksack! Shot taken in the Lake District.

Just a thought - is it a good idea for the winner to pick the theme for the next competition each time? This could possibly give an advantage as the winning photographer could pick a theme based on the images he/she has already taken. I won the last photography competition (landscape) but don't feel I should get to pick topics (and I didn't pick yellow by the way).

The honest person would pick a topic that would challenge them, instead of something htey could quickly pull from their archives (We discussed this a LONG LONG time ago).

I picked the topic because it was something that was loosely discussed between musik and I. Since I'm going to be taking over the photo comp posting, I thought I'd start off fresh with one I would pick. The winner of this one and all following photo comps will pick their theme.

Ah, sorry; didn't know this had already been discussed. I'm not suggesting that any OZZU members necessarily would bias the competition to their strongest shots; just something that popped into my mind.
