Request a competition

I too think that's a great idea. The image would need to be picked reasonably carefully to allow creative choices when colouring.

You guys have to keep in mind copyright laws on images. So I think if this contest goes through, the mod can choose it, or at least someone who has access to stock images that have been PAYED FOR.

I have many CDs of payed stock images I can lend out to use for this competition if need be.

I've just thought of something, we have a new photography comp out, would anyone be interesting in using the same subject but making it a digital art comp?

Oh yes, definately. That would be fun!

Someone suggested a little while ago about a programming competition. Would that interest you guys?

Programming competition is tough IMHO need a lot of time and effort. I would like to suggest logo / corporate identity design contest, it's fairly easy. It can be for a company logo, aproduct, service or anything.

Programming would be too hard we had already established that. I'll keep your idea in mind.

I'll be truthful, I did overlook that one for sure, but I agree, that would be fun. Local radio station do that stuff with audio clips all the time for comps. I'm all for it.

We will wait until next month or until at least some of the comps going on right now are done. We don't want to overflow the forum with comps.

There are many sites that offer free stock images like www.sxc.hu

Or the ones that offer images for a very small fee like www.istockphoto.com

I like the idea of B&W to color.

Also how about Photoshop-Tennis where you place one image and the competitors have to add details in turns till they run out of ideas or the image is not improved anymore.

I have a competition suggestion.

I saw this on another site and thought this could be pretty fun. Basically the idea of the competition is we create a Digital Art graphic or photograph or a combination of them off to represent a word. The word is a word that is made up off the top of our heads.

So the title of the topic could be "soozondle" and you have to create something that represents what that word means to you.

Let me know what you all think.
