Okay...

Because i have just finished work and i'm a bit tired i have just put together this couple minute job. This is a poor example of what i mean...based on my last example...

Image

It allows participants to use that part of the imagination that is a bit creative and it also can be quite experimental. I was quite pleased with the recent Digital Art competitions because some of the entries were really funny, so if you give a member that has a sense of humour the choice to make up a graphic made up of a fictional word then they are bound to come up with something good and interesting.

I think it would be good.

Not that I'd be able to compete, got a camera without a manual aperature, but having a HDR contest for serious photo maniacs? (looks like a few hehe)

The logo design is good idea, perhaps an open source project or something that would use the finished design?

How's about a seo contest where we choose keywords and see who can get the top postion in a specific search engine. Like google, msn, or yahoo. And at the end of the competition we see whoose site is the top most when the specific keywords are entered and that's the winner. Also prizes could include a link to a choosen site by them form this site's main page. Just a suggestion this is a popular contest among seo proffessionals.

Thank You

If you own the page that is the top mostin the said search engine. Say we choose google as the search engine and the topic is " supah forum " and at the end of the period your website is the one that's shown first when you enter those words in google you win.

No everyone is supposed to use a PR 0 page to start with And it doesn't have to be a new domain it can be a page on the domain. Say google.com/seo_contest.html and if that one is the topmost it wins. Plus keep in mind that new pages attached to a domain mean nothing PR wise.

Thank YOu

Sorry but this is too complicated. We should stick to simpler contests where everyone can participate. But thanks for the idea!

I'm sure UNFLUX has some fresh space on a server somewhere, maybe if enough of you got together, he could come up with some sort of package deal on a server & domain registrations specially for such a competition.

Just a thought.

*pssst*
I bet if one of you knuckleheads took it upon yourselves to organize the thing & get some people together, pieces would start falling into place.
