It's a cool idea, but would be hard to measure. The only way it would be worthwhile is to have unique handwritten javascripts. I mean, how do you tell if it's just not a modified pre-existing one? Normally that's what I do. Although I can write some of my own, it's so much easier to take a model and redo it to suit need.

I like the idea, but I think this would be extremely hard to monitor.

As an added note, my personal thought is that RichB would win this hands-down. Not to detract from any of our abilities, but I've watched a lot of his responses in other posts, and I think he's got the javascript nailed.

*lol Sitck with one thing before moving on to another. I think there's some curiosity about your javascript one (I know I am, but how to measure it is a consideration). What would you propose for the guidelines, and possible limitations besides length of code?

My thought would be make it a specific script to write -- say for example, most dynamic rollover script (or some such beast) there's so much to choose from. Perhaps as noted limit it to 100 lines, etc...

You'd probably have to specify parameters for the java one two.

We definitely need an avatar contest - not necessarily ones that have to go into the stock ones either!! They should be able to be personal ones too!!!

you'd win that 1. :-P

I think the most dynamic rollover link effect could be cool, I could think of some things i'd like to try/learn doing that.

Lets see what tey has to say.

we don't have enough entries, I was thinking of closing it today, but it is still only 3 entries... They all do have some closing date.

Something I always thought was interesting was to post 3 random photos and see what people can come up with using them in Photoshop.
