Yeah.

Like I said, we could have a competition where competitors submit a PHP function that does the most functions in shortest coding possible.

Or to create the most unique template design for the given topic. Ozzu redesign was fun... no need to add for templates, just for a competition... annually maybe? lol

play around with GD and try to modify an image using PHP... show PHP script and resulting image (at submition)...

Maybe a phpBB3 mod competition? Whoever creates the most useful PHPBB3 mod? style?

If we are going to do something with coding and images, we ought to do something like atno did for one of our current contests. Or maybe make an svg coding contest or something. The mod could pick a certain topic or thing out of thin air and the contest would be to code an svg of it by hand. That might be an easy one to cheat on though because I think the gimp can create svg's but I'm not sure.

Nah, I don't know... I guess mods would either have to trust the users or do something else...

Wait just a gosh dang second! Whats so funny? I seriously have a problem buying software when there is a near equivalent to it for free, i.e. photoshop and the gimp. I'm incredibly frugal, I pick up every penny I find on the ground.
