i suggest a digital art competition with only the following spec:
the image must have something to do with glass, wood and water.
and it must be made from scratch.

plus your other info & rules

This is something that can be looked into for the future. Sounds like a good competition topic suggestion.

I would enjoy that one for sure. Would be another one for a POVRay image.

Digital manipulation! I'm all about the manipulation contests, be it simply using stock, or manipulating an image or photo.

Again not a bad idea. I also think that by having the Digital Art comp on the go it would be nice to keep competitions like that to a minimum. Ozzu is a webmaster forum, so ideally it would be good to someday have a competition that covers most areas of the webmaster work. Photography and Digital Art has been the main competitions for the last few years now and there seems to be very few that ever go beyond the physical design sort of area.

The web design comp is something i can see continuing from now on along with the Digi Design and Photography comps.

What we could do is make every second digital design comp the manipulation one and then the other would be the current design comp?

That would be great SB.

We never had a programming competition though... I'm honestly interested with what programmers would be able to come by.

The way it could go is that the competitors have to create a certain program in a language (Hopefully PHP as that's the only language I know) and let competitors create the program anyway they want to.

Well sometimes, especially for freelance designers you have to be a jack of all trades, so how about a comp that includes, all three? Design a web page, but require a specified amount of personally taken photos, and require at least one digitally designed graphic.

Along these lines, I think it's nearing time for another Flash competition.

Who else here would be interested in a Flash comp? Not sure there is much point starting it if nobody is going to take part. If there are a few people showing interest i'm sure that'll be the next one on the go :D
