You need to first post it at your own domain, then later I'll contact you via PM and give you details of what to do next :D

Coderex,

Also, please note that you need to create a subdirectory called "images" and place your image files there. (When I looked at your link earlier, they are currently not in an images directory) You'll need to adjust your image path accordingly in your code. (It is probably best to use relative links so Musik will not have to edit your final code).

According to the rules for this competition:
Quote:
Webpage design is strictly HTML and/or CSS only with images (placed in a folder called 'images')

Normally it's not necessary to do that, however, I believe it's mostly just to make it more convenient for Musik to put up the voting links if all the images are in just one place.

You can use javascript if you wanted to I guess (now your getting too technical haha). It can be interactive, but it cant use flash etc, the whole point is to use your skill in html and or css to create a webpage.

Could you please edit the original post to mention that Javascript is allowed? Some participants might not read the whole thread, and they wouldn't know this.

Also, is this 200 KB filesize limit equal to 200000 bytes or is it 204800 bytes? I presently assume 204800 bytes because 1024 bytes per kilobyte is more standard.

I believe I can safely we'll allow some small amount of leeway on that (but only a small leeway given the "technical" point you noted). It really shouldn't be hard to do, though. My entry with 16 graphics not counting the offsite validation images weighs in at roughly 66KB . I'm rather certain that the reason Rose implimented a limit is to encourage our members to practice some skills to create pages that do have a fast page load and are not bogged down by "heavy" images.

200kb for one single page is not so hard to obtain. It just means you need to learn how to adjust image filesizes accordingly and not bloat html code.

Heh. I'm still used to thinking that anything over 15 kb is just madness; hearing 200 as the limit is kind of funny.

Well, that's something I never quite understood with Firefox. I'm looking at page info and my entry in general is 6.56KB -- I've always assumed that was text. Not counting the offsite validation media I have 15 thumbnails, all weighing in at approx 2KB each (so we'll call that roughly 30 KB) and I already know my "Owl" gif is 30KB (I didn't know what I was doing back then to optimize it and just copied it.).. That's how I come up with my 66KB rough estimate.
