Hello everyone!

Create a three (3) page website dedicated to your favourite: (choose one of the following)

* Singer
* Band
* Artist
* Celebrity
* Hero
* Charity

Please create something new and fresh - practice your skills! ;)

Rules:

* Your entry MUST contain your username anywhere on each of the pages
* Webpage design is strictly HTML and CSS only (with images)
* CSS is allowed of course and can be in a seperate file
* Please place images and CSS (if seperate from the html) in the same folder

You MUST also add in your entry post, a link to a .zip or .rar file with the .html doc and images so I can put them up on my server for the final votes (All work remains copyright of yourself).

Only one submission per user will be allowed.

You MUST have created the website yourself.

Any questions please ask in the thread. :D

Resolution: Please create with 1024x768 and 800x600 users in mind.
Max total file size (inc images): 500KB
(Please ensure your entry meets the above before entering your piece - Entries not meeting critera will be notified by PM and given a couple of days to adjust it, but please get it right the first time) *poke*

Length: Competition closes Monday, December 5th 2005 at 7:00 PM GMT. Voting lasts five days after close of competition.

There is always someone that asks questions about the rules, and I hate for it to be me.

But would acceptable image types be: jpg, gif, png, bmp, and ... swf? :D
(swf if only used for visual aid and not for functionality?)

Looking at the rules it doesn't state that you need to create 2 seperate websites for each resolution, just to code your site with those resolutions in mind. I am assuming no unnecessary scroll bars and white space.

Hi guys :D

5N4K3: Theres always one asking the hard questions :lol: No swf this time round, just straight out html/css and images (but we will do another flash comp very soon!)

cowkiller: Just one site that will be usable for those on both the resolutions listed, you may need to adapt your ideas to do this.

musik, do you want the images in a separate directory named "images" like last time?

I'll be putting everyone's entries into a folder titled with their username. After last times learning curve. I think having them all in the one directory is much easier than seperate folders, then I can just upload them in one go to a username, named folder.

Hope that makes sense :D

I just want to make sure, the use of JavaScript is not allowed?
Since:

clarification is good :D

I'm new to this web design competitions, but I understand the rules and know my abilities. This will be my first ever design contest... so please criticise my final piece to the max once submitted because I would like to know about areas for improvements.

:lol:

Surprised you never got beat up by Musik there. I would leave a post along those lines and i would get a reply like...

"nobody is EVER going to critises your work. This is just for fun etc etc etc

:beats with broomstick:"

:wink:

Good luck all. I think i will give this comp a miss as i am not quite that great at web design just using HTML. I guess i have skipped HTML and started to learn PHP and would probably go insane if i had to design a 3 page site in HTML :lol:
