Hi ZH,

These templates do not have any other pre-made color options that you could simply select and change. If you wanted to have the templates look different you would have to modify the template itself that plugs into Joomla. You are completely welcome to change the colors to whatever you like, but it may take a bit of skills with web design, programming, and understanding how templates work with Joomla to be able to make those changes.

I hope that answers your question.

Thanks! What is your setup fees to a clean joomla installed? + any fees for a few minutes of color customization?

Hi ZH,

Once you add the template to your cart and then checkout, it will go through a page where you can pick additional options you want to pay for. One of the options is to have someone install the template for you. I just took a look and currently for that option it is $49 USD. You will also find another option on that same page for changing your color scheme. The price on that looks to be currently at $99 USD. So to have someone install the template and change your color scheme for you it looks to be around $150 USD more for both. If you have any problems finding these options during the checkout process please let us know!

I would like the template to be installed on joomla 1.7 as soon as possible. Please also respond me if the template won't hinder future updates of joomla (if needed) or if it (the template) has something like css or so to make minor modifications as needed. I do not use Photoshop. I have joomla17 installed on a local server. Once the installation of the template went fine, the idea is to move the site to an existing website. You may advise the easiest way to do. I can also send you the link for the website to see and probably propose a template which might be better that what I chose.

Hi ZH,

The template is made to only support the version that is specified:

Joomla 1.7.0

We do recommend you always keep your software up to date, but we cannot guarantee that the template will always be compatible with any future updates you do. There is always a chance with any updates that the template would need to be updated to work correctly. Most of the times updates probably wouldn't cause a problem, but just keep in mind we do not guarantee it and it may require some additional work at times to work correctly after an upgrade.

This template does use CSS for its styling.

As far as moving the template to an existing website you would probably need to do the installation process all over again unless you plan to transfer the database from your testing environment to the other server. That could be a complicated process depending on your skill level at working with databases and how to move things.

I hope that helps with your questions!

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your reply. I have downloaded Jooomla 1.7.1 but hope that your template works with it. 1.7.0 can be okay as I do not think the feature difference between 1.7.0 and 1.7.1 would matter at all.

How about installing it to a temporary domain directly on the server and then, once completed, to move it to the main domain which is hosted in the same serve?. I do not know the duration to setup and then the time needed to update all website contents to this template based Joomla site. Just not to interrupt the main domain during the preparation of the Joomla site

I can purchase the template, the setup service, and the color customization. With that, can you put all structures of the template and make ready to be operational (of course, I will change the contents)? I can go ordering if you can do that, and I hope you would assist me when I am ready to move the site to the main domain.

Again, thanks,

Regards,
ZH

Hi ZH,

You are most likely right in the fact that Joomla 1.7.0 to 1.7.1's changes most likely will not adversely affect the template from working. Usually for such minor changes in the version number problems don't happen. We just do not guarantee it as it completely depends on the changes the Joomla developers make. So there is a high chance you would have zero problems.

That would be a good option to install it on a temporary domain on your server until you get it all working and customized to your liking, and then move it to the real domain once you are happy with everything. This does take alot more work though so it would be a completely additional charge to move it once you are ready.

So the process would work like this. You would purchase template 35524 with the setup service and color customization. They will then go through and do that all for you on your temporary domain that you tell them to install it on. At that point you will go in and make all the changes you want and get it all ready to go live via the CMS part of Joomla. Things such as changing the content throughout the website. Once you are ready to go live you would then contact me to do the migration for you from one domain to the other domain. This is a more complicated process than just initially setting it up on the server so the migration cost would be $225.00 USD and will be a separate cost at the time that you are ready to migrate (so you would pay this then at that later date). All this cost would include is getting your setup and all the changes that you had made moved over to the new website, and to also get all the variables changed so that it can work with the new domain correctly.

You are also welcome to move it yourself if you are trying to save costs, and if you are unable to figure it out you could then contact us and pay us to do it for you if you would like. Up to you :)

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the tutorials link. I see interesting stuff on Joomla setup. Is there any specific setup instruction for the template I am interested in buying?

One more question: once the site is well setup with your template, i.e everything is put on the server and functioning well, then what if I change a hosting company? I can purchase the packages now but do not know whether you provide an easy to apply instructions to be done by myself as long as I maintain the Joomla 1.7 in place

Regards,
ZH

Hi ZH,

There are no specific instructions for your exact template, but the general instructions you find at the last link I gave you are sufficient for installing the template.

If you change hosting companies you will need to transfer both your website content as well as your database to the new web hosting company. Sometimes web hosting companies that you move to would assist you. So for instance if later down the road you decided to move to us for hosting we would assist you free of charge in transferring the website over. If you decided to move to another web host we would be available at an additional charge if you needed us, but I would recommend contacting your web host first to see if they could help you.
