Yes you are welcome to make any modifications that you need to. The reservation system will not work by default, the template only contains the frontend elements to give you the look and feel that you might want. It would be up to you to install and integrate a backend system to get the reservation system working. What you see on our preview is exactly what you get as far as the pages.

There is an after sales support number, it is not a 1-800 number though. Support is fairly limited though, for the most part we expect our customers to figure things out on their own. We do offer a template guide to help make changes, and usually we can point you in the right direction to help you figure things out.

We do not. A backend system is basically the programming and databases that run behind the scenes on a server and it would process any information inputted through forms, and then output results. It would be some kind of programming language like PERL, PHP, ASP, C/C++, etc. The frontend is what people see when they visit your website. When your visitors send anything through a form, or try to book with a reservations system, that is where some sort of software runs on the server to process those requests. This template does not come with any of that software, so you would either need to find a programmer to implement those portions, or find some sort of pre-made software on the internet and then find a way to integrate the two together. It could be a challenging task, so you would most likely need some sort of programmer for freelancer who can help you. You would have to do research, but you could probably find some freely available programs that you could implement on your server.

Also to run a backend system you would need to make sure your hosting company allows something like that. Some cheaper hosts might not allow the running of programs on the server side. So you would need to check with your host to figure out what programs you can run.

As far as the template's and the text they are showing. That is simply known as Lorem Ipsum and it is a placeholder text that is commonly used for our templates. Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

The reason we use it is because it is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
