That is correct. It is important to note how many times a template has been download as well. For instance, this template has been downloaded by 8 customers. You can see that above as it says:



For each template on our website it will show how many times someone has purchased it. If you were to purchase it exclusively, then it would be removed from the marketplace and nobody else could purchase it anymore. The others who had downloaded it already would still be able to use it though. That may or may not be an issue to you, but I often recommend looking around and finding a template on our website with zero downloads if you plan to purchase it exclusively so that you know you are the only one with that design. Hopefully that makes sense.

You are completely welcome to edit this template as much as you want, however, we do not provide you any of the required software that you may need (depending on how much you want to edit). If you look above it will say which software is required, I will post it here again:



When you purchase the template it will come packaged up in a ZIP file which is why you will need either Winzip or Stuffit Expander to extract the files.

As far as editing the layout of the template, if you are not familiar with HTML you may want to use Adobe Dreamweaver 8+ or Microsoft Expression Web which will make things much easier to edit as it will all be visual. The tutorials that we provide with the template will use those two softwares.

Finally if you want to be able to edit any text on the images throughout the template you will need to have Adobe Photoshop CS or greater so that you can edit the .psd files that come with the template. We do also provide tutorials on how to do this as well.

So if you are wanting to save money I would recommend trying to do as much as you can yourself first.

If you are having troubles doing it yourself, or if you would rather have us make all of the custom changes for you we can. During the checkout process for this template you will see some additional options for basic customizations which is through our partner. These include things such as swapping out the logo with your own, changing the navigation menu, or changing content on the pages. Typically this is cheaper than going through us directly, but the service won't be as prompt.

If you need more personal attention or have more complicated customizations then you can go through our company directly. Our billing rate is $150/hr, but can give you a quote in advance so that you can make an informed decision on if it would be within your budget. You are also welcome to find a web designer in your local area, or a freelancer at a freelancing website.

Unfortunately none of our templates come with any pre-built software for editing the look and feel of the design, except for our Flash CMS Templates. On any of the templates in that section, if you click on any of the live demos for a specific template you will see you will get a full WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor that allows you to change the content, images, add videos, etc. All really easy, you should check it out and see if you can find any templates you like there as no specific software is required other than a ZIP utility (such as WinZip).

With this handyman template right here that you are looking at, it may take more advanced skills if you are wanting to do it yourself. Unfortunately it does not come with anything to make it super, super easy for you. If this is the only template you are interested in you may have to hire us or someone else to make the changes for you. I wish I could tell you what you would like to hear, but I cannot :(

I didn't see anything that had an exact handyman theme like this one already, but I did see some generic ones where you could add a few pictures to give it that handyman look. Take a look at a few of these:

If you change the text and maybe a few other things you might be able to give it a look that is more suitable for remodeling services, etc. The main part is just if you like the look and feel, because you can always replace the text and images with whatever else you want.

With Adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expressions, they made that software in a way that is for more non-technical people who do not know HTML as they basically provide the WYSIWYG interface. Still, there is probably a learning curve since you would have to learn how to use their software, but we do have some tutorials to help with that process for doing the basic tasks.
