That is a great question. With this particular template only the frontend elements are included to give you a good starting point with the look and feel that you might be after with your website. So that means there are no backend features. If you would like the user registration area or search box to actually work you would need to implement those areas with some sort of backend software. Unfortunately that is something that would be a custom request, and would be in addition to this template. We charge $150/hr for customizations and there are many different ways you could proceed to have those areas turned active. The first would be to find some sort of CMS system to integrate it with so that you also get many other features, or you could simply just have scripts written to enable those parts. For the search function we would need more details on exactly what it would search to output results. For the login area you will likely need much more such as a registration and user account page, and then what would be enabled for these users that are able to login. Would you need some sort of permission system setup, would you need to be able to have certain functions for users such as being able to moderator or ban accounts? There are tons of things to think about so all I can say is we need to know exactly what you are looking for to be able to provide you a quote on how many hours it would take us to implement everything.
Alternatively, if you aren't totally fixed on this template, you might consider one of our other templates that are already made for backend systems. This includes our WordPress Themes, and all of our CMS Templates. Buying a template that is already integrated with a backend system such as the ones I just mentioned could save you lots of money as most likely any search functions or user login areas are already fully implemented in those.
