Hi Chris,

Have you also installed the dump SQL file? That will get it to look exactly like you see in the demo. Make sure you follow the instructions for that part.

Let me know if you need any help finding the instructions. Thanks!

Hi Brian and thx for your quick answer. There is a SQL file located in the sources-folder of the theme. I am developing the website locally so I tried to import it via MAMP.

I install wordpress on a mySQL database.

I install the theme with its plugins.

I select the mySQL database with the wordpress-installation folder in PHPMyAdmin, use the import option, selected the SQL file and import it. There are several Tutorials for that, so i do not think i missed anything.

But when i try to access my blog or wp-dashboard now to see the changes, the page will not load in my browser. Did i forget anything? Thx for your help.

Hi Chris,

Make sure you edit the dump file first before you import it and change all references of "your_website_url_here" to your website URL without a final slash. I am going to send you a link to the instructions via e-mail in case you weren't able to find them via our help site. Hopefully that will help you. Let me know if you have any problems after following that.

Hi Brian,

thx for your advice again. I could manage to import the sql file, following the tutorials. The page changed and now it looks the same like in the live demo. With the exception that the three boxes (my initial question) are still not showing up.

Two( last )questions:

Is it possible that those boxes shown in live demo are not part of the sql file?

I installed the plugins from sources folder of the theme. Do i have to change the settings of those plugins too? Or maybe activate default plugins Akismet & Hello Dolly?

thx again

Hi Chris,

It is possible that the plugins in the plugins folder need to be installed. Did you follow the tutorials for that already? The Akismet is only for spam detection, and the Hello Dolly plugin won't affect anything, so I wouldn't worry about those two plugins. It's the other plugin(s) that are usually located in the sources zip file inside the main zip file that sometimes need to be installed as well as the dump SQL file.

If you believe you have done all of that, and you read the tutorials and didn't miss anything please let me know if you have this online so someone can take a look at it for you.

Thanks,
Brian
