Hey all:
I'm nowhere near on par with you guys. As my experience and talent are both extremely limited. But, I'm pretty happy w/ my first sig. Let me know what y'all think...any comments/suggestions are welcome!

It's a little too big to use at ozzu though! Needs to be 6kb or under, please change asap! :)

Very nice though, I'm sure if you made it several pixels smaller you could lose that extra three kb.

As far as saving it as JPEG. I know JPEG is much better quality. But, I could NEVER get my image down to the right file size if I were in JPEG.

I mean even now...I'm in a low res GIF for the simple reason of file size. And, I had to reduce the overall size of my image.

So, is there any way to reduce file size with out a drastic loss of quality?

make the image 3 % smaller and apply a gausian blur of about 0.3 and then make it as a jpg with quality as low as you can with out making it look naff.

maybe use a solid color instead of that fading circular gradient in the background to help reduce size?

Well thanks for the input & support everyone. I'm gonna hold on this sig for a while. But, next time I get ready to make a new one...I'll keep your thoughts in mind.

For now...thanks everyone!

if you are using PS the save for web command should let you get the file pretty small with out much loss of quality.
