ok..i am a major newbie at this so the more detail the better :D

mmm..if i scan an illustration, just say plain black and white pen drawings..
and i wanna edit it on illustrator and put it as vector so the resolution wouldnt crap up on me, how exactly do i do that??
I know about autotrace, but when the lines are not connected or too thick it doesnt work too well~
is there any tricks to it???
or is there another way to change scaned images into vectors????

hope i made sense
cheers

I've used Adobe Streamline for this. After converting line art to vector, you'll still need to clean up paths.
