I just found out my upgrade is on the way (Web Premium). Looks like the new Flash has a bunch of cool features including IK/Bones, 3D transforms and a motion editor.

Hi,

I've just finished my experimental portfolio likwidlite.co.uk just in time for CS4 to come out. Typical. Is it worth re-evaluating the site once I upgrade to CS4? Are there going to be many benefits e.g. smaller files, smoother animation. Or should I just move onto new projects with CS4?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

CS4 won't make your site or projects better. You still have to use the software and design intelligently. CS4 may increase your productivity but it won't change the quality of your projects one bit.

Full non-beta version of Dreamweaver CS4 is out?

Might look into getting that as i still use Macromedia Dreamweaver MX which i imagine is different to the Adobe versions.

I wish I could give you my copy, spork. The fact is, I'm not likely to ever run that program.

Actually Fireworks comes in really handy in conjunction with Dreamweaver's auto generated photogallery. It does the dirty work on generating the thumbnails for the gallery. Very slick and painless actually. But that's about the only thing I use it for at the moment also.

Oh, I'm not inferring that it's useless. I'm only intending it's useless to me. ;)

Funny I used to think I'd never use Fireworks either but lately we've been using it for prototyping and wireframing (clients love clickable wireframes) and its grown on me really quickly.
