lately I've been notacing that my pictures havnt been look as sharp. I check out the bits and they all have been set to 8. For something that doesnt have a large gradiant it works fine, but when Im making something with a background gradiant it looks rather bad. I changed it to 16 and its better but I would like to be able to use the 32bit options.

The problem is, its greyed out. Anyone know why this could be?

I had the same problem but, when I selected the 16 bit option the 32 bit became available. For some reason PS does not allow to jump from 8 bit to 32 bit. Go figure. :?:

when youopen a new doc in photoshop, it will always be 16 bit, to convert from 16 to 32, you just do so up over at mode, but i dont see why it would be an issue to just go from 8 to 32, i think pshop has to do color converting one step at a time
