nice quality!

Wondering if I may share my b&w's

Chichen Itza Mexico Mayan Ruins

please keep in mind, these pics were taken with a true Black & White film
but I used the 'GrayScale' filter on them to get them even more black & White as they were a little on the brownish side.

but I guess that *IS* true black & White if they develop a bit off color from the true black & white.

anyhow, I'm pretty proud of these pics as it was a great vacation
and besides lots of colored film we decided to load b&w film to get some
great shots to oversize and frame for our living room.

feedback would be great ...

b&w is sooo nice for textures and people. I love it! these shots are
good steen, very clear. I love the one you posted seperately, and I
agree, it should be given more attention. You just might win something!

I don't know why, but black and white photography always looks better to me for some reason. Maybe its because most of us are used to color photographs so when we see black and like its like "wow" that looks interesting. I am not sure. Anyway your photos look good Steen :)

real b&w film was used,
as I mentioned above in my post,
they turned out a bit brownish and I greyscaled them to get them
to look a bit better.

I could repost the originals if you'd like to see!
they are true b&w pics ...

ahem.... :P

The thing about b&w these days, is the film is made to be developed
using color chemicals and process! It says so right on the box, "Do not
process this film with Black & White chemicals. Process normally as color
negatives and prints."

Which actually gives them a purplish tint that I removed in pshop by
changing the mode to Grayscale. I did nothing else to them however.
