Ello,

I've looked around a lot of places, and forums to try and find brushes for the microsoft buttons.

What i'm donig is some UI modifications for my windows UI. But I cant seem to find the button icon images. IE the Key/Power/Standby brushes. I've been cutting the portions out of the buttons and using the pen tool, but they just dont seem to look as good... Any ideas as to where i can pick up the brushes for the following images?

Thanks,
Rob

You can find those icons in Shell32.dll... I don't know where the down- and over-states are located...

If you mean Photoshop brushes you can make your own brushes from the graphics you already have. ;)

It'd be a hell of a lot faster than hunting them down on the web.

Or are you only trying to extract the symbols from the buttons?

Yuppers, was looking for the Symbols.

I wasn’t sure if they even had the brushes out for those, or symbols for it. But I suppose if worse comes to worse, getting the old pen tool out should work for some of it.

It was more of a hip shot to see if the brushes had been created already, so all I had to do was click and effect, instead of getting to in-depth for it.

Use a packing program, to create the DLL. Just make sure it's set up to save the files the same way MS saves the files so as not to crash the pc. It's a bit touchy on how it looks for files, and you can easily get a blue screen of death in seconds if it's not set up the same way, ya know?

go figure

Then again i dont think MS ment for the files to be messed with.
