That's a lot of fun Nuc! I used to do that myself. Gone digital now. :D

yeh yeh... well, it is college and I think they just want us to get used to the process ;)

If i enjoy it of course I will go digital ;)

one thing i have wondered tho...

I have an slr film camera. SLR stands for standard lense reflex, where the mirrors shoot up for the shot to be taken right?

well, how does a digital slr work?... similar way?

(n00b question :P )

Yep, same principle, but instead of exposing the film, it's exposing the CCD(image sensor).

I had always understood SLR to mean Single Lens Reflex, but standard and single are probably interchangable.

i may have the definition wrong ;)

thanks dm, i get it now.

If i had it my way i would have much rather saved up for a digital slr, than spending money on a film cam..

oh well

Yup, it's SINGLE lens reflex... there are Twin lens reflex cameras too.

Like dM says, the basic difference between Film SLR and DSLR is that the light is exposed on a CCD or CMOS, instead of a film plane.
