heya people,

oh, i'm Dan btw, lol
(introductions not my strong point) :P lol 18 years old, live in southwest england, blah blah blah etc. lol
been reading around here for a little while but not shown myself before,

well basically what brings me to post at last, is that i'm interested in getting hold of a digital camera,

u see i've always shared my dads interest in photography (he teaches modern media) and since i was young i've loved snapping photos and developing my skills, and more recently ive enjoyed working with images digitally on the pc, and have been moving slowly away from conventional photography,

now the thing is, its getting to the point where i can no longer use my mums digi cam (nice as it is :'( ) without wanting it when other people do, when mums using it, when the batteries are dead etc etc and also as i spend more time away from home my own cam would be very useful,

now also the old student gripe.. (no money) lol, comes into play a bit too, so i have that to considor but still want to be able to take reasonably good photos that 'might' help develop skills to one day help lead to a career path somewhere, and also of course just to have good fun with and take ok photos, :)

soo, my question to you lot out there is.. does anyone have any suggestions as to a good camera to possibly purchase?
looking for somthing of resonably good quality but of course less taxing on the wallet, (i refuse to say 'cheap' lol  )

i ask really as i'd like to ask a group of people who may be rather more knowladgable on the subject than anyone here i can ask so any ideas or suggestions would be much appriciated :)

regards

Dan

Try looking around for a Camera. You want to take into a lot of things, like OPTICAL zoom, possibility for add on filters/lenses, megapixels (look for atleast a 3), output media type, style.

It's all about what jumps out at you, so find some easy on the wallet type cameras and then post them here, and we can say if any are good!

A quick search of amozon Later..

here are 3 links I found to digital cameras.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 63-5081264

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 63-5081264

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 63-5081264

the least expensive is only £75, I will find a link to a page with more cameras on.... :D

there are about 1052 results with varying prices as low as £5 :P

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/sea ... 63-5081264

But the £5 one's may be "cheap tack" ;) lol
