I'm making a title image for my gaming clan's website, and I can't decided between these two versons of it. There's only a slight change (just a different blending mode on one of the layers), but I can't decide which one looks best. Opinions?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT// Feel free to comment on the general look of it, as well as the slight differences in the two versions.

I like the second one better, what effects did you use? just basic blending options?

Yeah. For the metalic part, it's made of two layers, both the same thing. The bottom of the two layers is set to Multiply. The top layer of the two is offset a pixel upwards, and to the left, and blending mode set to darken.

I like the first one better, given the 2 images. If the second one is supposed to be transparent, maybe post a pic of it over a background or something. I may like it better.

It's only the frame part, which surrounds the bottom of the glass effect part, that is different, and on the second the transparency of it is quite apparent.

I decided to go for the second look in the end, and I've developed it a little and made a couple of alterations.

Comments etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The third one is much better than the others.

I like the effect on the elC tag text, and the "techno" wires and chips (At least i think thats what they are) faded into the background.

Very Nice :D

Thanks a lot :D. I also like the final one a lot. The website I'm using it on is http://www.elc.captainisakiller.co.uk

I don't want this turning into a site review in the wrong section, so this is the site review for it: http://www.ozzu.com/ftopic48440.html

Thanks!

(Please don't comment on the website in this thread. Keep the Mod's happy :). This thread's just for the title image.)

Thanks again.

Capt

I like the third pic effects but i like the difference in the black or grey background that you geives it closure to the title and the other one I would use if I were trying to blend the tom and the next section together it would blend easier.
