Cartoon Mascot Needed

Greetings yall, I'm in need of a good cartoonist for a mascot/logo for my site. I know what I want, just don't want to do it myself. Here the few requirements I have:
1. 8x10 Print resolution
2. Black lines (no color at all, I will handle that later as it will change based on context)
3. Should look good at 200x200px (In other words, not so much detail that it disappears at small resolutions)

Other things to note:
1. I will pay for your work, or will trade my php/mysql programming skills for your drawing skills. Your choice.
2. I have a crappy sketch that depicts pretty much what I want.
3. I would like to see samples of your previous cartoon work.

What do you want the mascot or logo to look like? I'd be willing to give it a shot if you can give some detail. I mean... would you like it to be an animal or Final Fantady type character or what?
