Alright, time to battle once again!

Here's the image I've selected. It's a photo I took two years ago of one of the main walkways on our university's campus.

Your serve!

deja vu.

Those buildings have a lot of similarities to the buildings where I went to school at Clarion State University in PA.

Heh. Everything is brick, and I mean EVERYTHING. There's a reason our annual "homecoming" event (although we have no football team) is called Brick City Homecoming.

RIT bought its own brick company when they were building the campus because it was cheaper than buying bricks.

It's an emergency phone. Basically just a light post covered with a blue box with a phone attached to it. They're scattered around campus... as soon as you push a button or pick up the phone it alerts campus safety.

Is it just me, or is everybody posting from the future? I new I should have bought that time machine on e-bay.

Uhh, when are we going to get to see some actual tennis matches around here.

I am at work but, if nothing is up by 4pm Pacific Time I am going to run interference and post my submission. The challenge will then go to both Celandine and Spork. Maybe you two can get together and see if you can beat me. Ha, ha, ha, *evil laugh*

That aught to get the creative juices flowin around here.

Hmmm? We're simply waiting on celandine's entry. We don't really put timeframes on these things because everyone's got their own schedule and things to do, especially during the summer.

You're certainly welcome to find a member interested in a match and start one up ;)

so ummmm what, is this a three-way now? (giggle :D)
ok, I'm working on a return - I'll do one for each of the two images, (same concept of course) and let spork decide how he wants to take it forward....

in the meantime here's some related amusement :D

thanks :D it's due for a big overhaul though, it's the first site I ever coded and it needs so much cleaning up. full of glitches n' things. you know how it is though - you never come round to doing your own site.... yours looks neat - although is it work in progress? I couldn't get at any of the portfolio content.... maybe I just missed a click somewhere.

anyways sorry I'm procrastinating spork - I'm working on it - I'm just having trouble with perspective on the legs... hope it'll be up by tonight!

okay here goes first serve..........

and here's an alternate version in answer to OriginNO's first shot... you can think of my addition as the Tin Man, just to flow with the theme ;)

anyhow I know I'm not using the most sophisticated techniques here but it's a question of diminishing returns i suppose.... if you'd want things to look really perfect you could sink hours and hours into each of these.........

can't wait to see what comes back :D

I'm surprised you didn't carry over the shadow layer from the tin man onto the original return :P

well I thought about it, but the weather on that photo is so overcast, nothing else seemed to be casting shadows..... suppose I could've done a faint one, just to root him into the photo... but it couldn't have been the one from the 'tin man' version - the light in the original is certainly not directional enough for such a long shadow... maybe just a diffuse one right under him, to sort of fix him to the image...............

ah well. maybe in my next turn...

My apologies for my delay in my response; we just got a new roommate yesterday and my computer's been disconnected while we were moving furniture.

Oh my, I forgot all about this.

Hey cel, all the images for this are on my other PC, which currently resides 2.5 hours away at my apartment. When I have access to it again we'll pick this up.
