If you don't know what Terragen is, it is an extremely powerful FREEWARE terrain renderer. It is used by movie and game studios all over the world to make terrains (ex: Battlefield 1942, etc.) Sorry if I sound like a commercial but thats all true. I also used WorldMachine 1.25 Basic.

Not too bad. Are those your first renders? I personally use and love Terragen. I use it to make animations loops for my company's website. You can see my latest one here http://alaron-nuclear.com/main.html

I like the program as well, but my renders are always a little disappointing. I'm still learning, and will hopefully be able to churn out some cool stuff later on. Just not enough time in the day to do everything.

And nice renders ya'll. I like the website Atno. Very proffessional looking. :)

Well, in both cases you guys should experiment some with different surface maps. Terragen does a fantastic job rendering skies and water, but sadly at this time the surface map rendering lacks a bit of luster. Terragen has a few basic built in surface maps. You can also create your own (takes a little work and experimenting). Also if you search Google for Terragen Surface Maps you can find a lot of additional free ones to download.

As a matter of interest, how long have you been using Terragen ATNO? I've been playing about with it a bit tonight and have messed up the cloud colours

Brilliant software though.

Off and on probably close to six years now. It was only in the last 8 months that I've really started getting into some of the more advanced stuff though.
