Well, somebody posted that this forum was too quiet, so I figured I'd post a couple of the pics I took today.

I was just using a crappy HP PhotoSmart 315, which sucks, and I hate it, heh - I want my D100!! ;)

But, here ya go :)

Image
This is Zookie, a seriously HUGE male Bearded Dragon. When we got him, he weighed 1,008 grams (average for a "large" beardy is around 550-600g). He had his tail nipped as a baby, and is 24" long. With a complete tail, he'd be nearer 26" (again, average for a "large" dragon is 20-21").

Image
This is Sandy. She just woke up today after being asleep for the past 2 months or maybe a lil more than that. She's a "large" dragon as regular standards goes. She's 20" long and weighs about 570g.

Image
As you can see, Sandy wasn't too thrilled being out in the open, and after a while she attempted to make her escape under the bushes in the front yard.

See my post about the geckos Geekette...

Time with a leopard gecko... 10-15 mins to clean & feed, handle it whenever you want :)

Money, minimal.. You can pick up a leo at a reptile show (there's one in Jacksonville at the end of this month) for as low as $30-40 for a pretty nice 'normal' (not albino, patternless, hypo, etc.), $10-15 for a tank, $3 for a 50lb bag of playsand at home depot, and that's about it. Then it's just the cost of food (and at around a dozen crickets a day, or 10-20 mealworms per day, that's nothing. Mealies are about $8/thousand, crickets about $15/thousand.

Mother.. well, you'll have to work on that, but one look at those cute lil leos, and she'll fall in love :)
