yup, and the lens was another hundred, and the SanDisk 256 Compact Flash card was sixty.

I'm getting a better memory card soon. It'll be a SanDisk 512 Ultra II card. That is/was another hundred.

:shock: <---Reading cc statement. lol

see, i told ya -- i never went to ritz site figuring it was going to be overpriced. What I was finding was with a lens included, so even seperately seems cheaper. What lens did you get?

thanks for the link :)

yeah, the D70 is 500 bucks cheaper than the D100 ;)

D70 New == $1000
D100 New == $1500 (if you see a price below $1350, assume it's a scam and move on)
D100 Used == $1000-1200

No problem at all, sir. I got a very basic AF 28-80 G Lens. Pretty versatile in most simple shooting conditions.

Because it's my first digital camera, and in general, not strictly but in general, the D70 isn't THAT far off from the D100 on the basics. Axe generously spent some time with me chatting about the differences, read lots of reviews, look at lots of photos taken with both, and I thought I would get just as much Nikon goodness, at $300-500 less.

;)

Sounds like a real nice camera. I just bought a cheap digital camera for my parents. They have had the same camera for almost 25 years. I figured it was about time to get em a new one. It was pretty cheap. Just a Nikon coolpix 2100. If you are lookin for a pretty cheap camera, its a good value. I, personally, have a Lite Touch Zoom 110s/QD. Its a nice little bundle of joy. :lol:
