First renderings

Here's my first photoshop "rendering." Idk what to call it; picture?

I'm open to anything you say. Be as brutal as possible.

Personally i like it left side is great the right side idk could have been better but I just want to get the basic down. I started with two black and white pictures. One eye and the other lighting. I call it Synamps. Im sure you all could think of a better name....

ooooh an eye. eyes are fun. for your first picture its not bad. heres the last eye i made (haha, one of the only eyes i've made) (and granted its not the greatest, i did exactly what i wanted to do )

edit// a few more comments on the eye.
it looks somewhat blurry (around the actual eye), perhaps making it smaller might clear it up? zoom in alot when you're selecting shapes so distinct as an eye, might make it less jaggedy.

Thanks its always nice to know what and how to fix things when you suck.

Say did you take a picture of a microchip and make it more transparent to make that wierd electronic eye look. I was kinda wondering on how you did it. Either way it looks great!
