Good news for those of you who always wanted a free graphics/image application.

Adobe released Photoshop Express. I didn't check out the functionality, but better than nothing, and can't beat the price.

Neat application, I don't think it deserves to have the name "Photoshop" slapped on it though. Prime example of leveraging a brand name to draw attention to somthing that doesn't begin to compare.

But having said that, In some ways paintshop can be better than photoshop.

They both have good points and bad points. :P

I'll give you that some things may be a bit easier to accomplish in Paint shop without thorough knowledge in Photoshop :P

I actually had to write a paper once for school comparing Paint Shop Pro to Photoshop. The conclusion was that PSP is ok for home use, but if you want to do anything on the professional level, Photoshop is the clear choice. The only real advantage of PSP is that it's more user friendly if you don't have any prior knowledge of either.

Has anyone seen this yet?

This looks more like Photoshop.

That does look more like Photoshop. That could actually come in pretty handy. It kinda sucks that there's no right-click capability since it's in Flash and I couldn't seem to find an equivalent to the background eraser, but aside from that, Splashup looks really cool.

That photoshop express has some really fast modifications, but all in all, not worthwhile.
